How can we help you?

Everything you need to set up your BŪP Card, manage your profile, and get the most out of your account.

Getting Started

Setting up your BŪP Cards account

From creating your account to sharing your first digital card — here's how to get up and running in minutes.

1

Create your account

Visit bup.cards or open the BŪP Cards app and tap Get Started. Sign up with your email address or continue with Google. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your account.

2

Build your digital profile

Once logged in, go to Profile and fill in your name, title, company, contact details, and a headshot. Add links to your website, LinkedIn, or any other social profiles. This is the page people see when they tap your card.

💡 A complete profile with a photo gets significantly more saves and follow-ups.
3

Claim your NFC card

If you received a physical BŪP NFC card, tap it to any iPhone (NFC is built-in) or Android device. You'll be taken to a claim page — log in to your account and the card will be permanently linked to your profile. No app required for the person tapping your card.

4

Share your profile

Your profile is live immediately at bup.cards/yourname. Share it via tap, QR code (found in the app under Profile), or by sending the link directly. Anyone who views your profile can save your contact with one tap.

5

Download the mobile app

Get the BŪP Cards app from the App Store to manage your leads, respond to follow-ups, and update your profile on the go. Log in with the same credentials you used to sign up.

NFC Card

Using your BŪP NFC card

Your physical card is a tap-to-share device. Here's how it works and how to get the most out of it.

How tapping works

BŪP cards use NFC (Near Field Communication) — the same technology as contactless payments. When someone taps your card to the back of their phone, their browser opens your live profile instantly.

  • No app needed for the person receiving the card
  • Works with all modern iPhones and Android devices
  • Tap the card to the top-back of the phone for best results
  • Your profile updates in real time — no reprint needed

Sharing via QR code

Every BŪP profile includes a unique QR code. Open the app, tap your profile photo, and select Share Profile to display your QR code for scanning.

  • Works even when NFC isn't available
  • Great for screens, presentations, and email signatures
  • Download the QR image from your profile settings

Updating your profile

Your card always reflects your current profile. To update what people see when they tap:

  • Log in at bup.cards or open the app
  • Go to Profile and edit any field
  • Changes are live immediately — no reprinting, no re-claiming
  • You can update your photo, title, contact info, and links at any time

Lost or damaged card?

Your digital profile is always safe in your account. If you need a replacement card:

  • Order a new card from the BŪP Store
  • Tap the new card and claim it to your existing account
  • Your profile, leads, and history remain intact
  • Contact support if you need to release a lost card from your account
Lead Management

Capturing and managing contacts

Every person who views your profile is a potential lead. BŪP Cards captures them automatically and organizes them in your dashboard.

1

Your leads dashboard

Open the app and go to Leads. Every contact who saved your card or submitted their info is listed here with their name, company, date, and contact details. Tap any lead to view their full profile and conversation history.

2

Scan a business card

To add a lead manually, tap Scan in the app and point your camera at a paper business card. BŪP Cards uses OCR to extract the name, email, phone, company, and title automatically. Review the details and save.

3

Export and sync to your CRM

Connect BŪP to HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zoho under Settings → Integrations. Once connected, new leads are synced to your CRM automatically. You can also export your lead list as a CSV from the dashboard at any time.

🔗 Integrations require a paid BŪP Cards subscription.
4

Team lead management

On a Team plan, the account owner can view leads captured by all team members. Go to Team in the app to manage members, assign cards, and see team-wide lead activity from one central dashboard.

BŪP Cards

Automated follow-ups

BŪP Cards can automatically handle follow-up outreach after new connections — keeping your leads warm without any extra effort on your part.

How automated follow-ups work

After a new connection is made — whether via tap, scan, or profile view — BŪP Cards can initiate a follow-up on your behalf. The message is personalized based on your profile and the context of the interaction. Availability depends on your plan and account settings.

Turning follow-ups on or off

You're always in control. Open the app and go to Settings → Follow-Ups to enable or disable automated outreach at any time. You can also pause follow-ups for individual contacts directly from the lead detail screen.

Reviewing outgoing messages

Depending on your settings, BŪP Cards may queue messages for your review before sending. Check the Messages tab to view, edit, or dismiss any pending follow-ups. You can adjust the tone or content before anything goes out.

Follow-ups not working?

Verify that your email address is confirmed in your profile settings and that follow-ups are enabled for your account. If the issue persists, contact [email protected] and we'll look into your account configuration.

Account & Billing

Managing your subscription

Understand your plan, update payment info, and manage your BŪP Cards account.

1

Viewing your current plan

Go to Settings → Billing in the app or at bup.cards. You'll see your current plan, renewal date, and payment method on file. BŪP Cards offers individual and team plans billed monthly or annually.

2

Upgrading or changing your plan

Tap Change Plan in the Billing screen to upgrade from Individual to Team, or to switch from monthly to annual billing. Prorations are calculated automatically — you'll only be charged the difference.

3

Updating your payment method

In Settings → Billing, tap Update Payment Method to add a new card or bank account. All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe — BŪP never stores your card details.

4

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Your account remains active until the end of your current billing period. Your profile, leads, and card claim are preserved — you can reactivate at any time.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

No. When someone taps your BŪP card or scans your QR code, your profile opens in their phone's browser — no app download required. They can save your contact directly to their phone's address book with one tap.
BŪP NFC cards work with iPhone 7 and later (NFC is built in and always on for iPhone XS and later — no settings needed). On Android, most devices from 2018 onward support NFC; ensure it's enabled in your phone's settings. For devices without NFC, the QR code on the card works as a fallback.
Yes. You can create your BŪP profile and share it via your personal link (bup.cards/yourname) or QR code without ever ordering a physical card. The physical NFC card is optional — your digital profile is always the source of truth.
Go to Settings → Profile and tap Edit Username. Usernames must be unique. Note that changing your username will update your profile URL — anyone with your old link will be redirected, but it's good practice to update your QR code image after a username change.
Individual accounts can claim one NFC card per profile. Team accounts support multiple cards — one per team member. If you need to claim an additional card for a second profile, contact support and we'll help you set it up.
Try these steps: (1) Remove your phone case — thick cases can block NFC signals. (2) On iPhone, tap the card to the top-back of the phone near the camera. (3) On Android, enable NFC in Settings → Connections. (4) Make sure the NFC chip in the card isn't damaged — if your card is warped or cracked, contact us for a replacement.
Yes. BŪP Cards uses industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest. Authentication is powered by Supabase Auth with secure PKCE flows. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we never store card numbers. You control what information appears on your public profile, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Yes — the BŪP Team plan is designed for this. The account owner manages all team members from a central dashboard, assigns cards, views team-wide leads, and controls branding. Each team member gets their own profile and NFC card. Email [email protected] for enterprise pricing on larger teams.
